Molson Amphitheatre lawn seating?

I was just wondering, if you cant get tickets to a concert, will you be able to go on the lawn for free? Or do you need tickets? I know the Molson Amp. is in Ontario Place, so is there like a gate that surrounds the entire building and you can only go on the lawn to watch if you bought tickets?
Ive never been there but Im going in July so I have no idea how it works.
