Lot Parking
My car was hit while parked in a parking lot. Will my insurance cover the damages?
I was at school and my parked car was side scraped in the parking lot. Theres a small dent on the side and paint damage. The person didnt leave any information so I dont know who done it. Will my insurance cover the damages? Will my premiums go up?
It might if you have collision coverage. Otherwise you are pretty much out of luck.
What you can you is snoop around the parking lot and see if you can find another car with some of your paint on it. measure the distance from the ground to your scrape and check for any cars with what looks like a scrape on some projecting part at the same height above ground level.
If you find such a vehicle, call the police and file a complaint for the other party leaving the scene of an accident or hit and run.
